Glengowan will be open from 9 am to 5pm. Morning Tea, Afternoon Tea and lunch will all be available around the campfire for those who need to re-charge after inspecting the cattle. We will have a cross-section of our herd on display including stud sires,stud cows and calves, commercial females and steers ready for sale.  Stud cattle will include progeny of NZ Turihaua Crumble, Glengowan Ulysses U122, NZ Burke 22 of Turiroa, Banquet A144 and many more!. We will also have bulls and females for sale on the day.

GLENGOWAN SECURES SEMEN RIGHTS FOR KAHARAU 844.

In July 2010 we have just returned from another interesting and successful trip to the North Island where we attended the Annual East Coast Angus sales including Ratanui, Kaharau, Gisborne Combined, Turihaua and Turiroa. We also took some time off and visited the Bay of Islands where we attended the Waitangi sale.

 As we find every year, there was a great diversity in the bulls on offer and once again there was one bull which stood out for everyone. This year that bull was Kaharau 844, who achieved a whopping $47000 on sale day with most of the major NZ breeders doing their best to secure him. As auctioneer Bruce Orr said, 'The most important day is the day you buy your genetics'.... MORE

THE MOORILDA HISTORY PROJECT.

The Moorilda History Project continues to inch along as yet another project has intervened. I am now working on the history of St David's church Moorilda and am looking for any information about the church and the families who used to worship there.
